JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective The Service Project Manager is the single point of contact for the handling of service projects, from order placement to on-site installation, to achieve high customer satisfaction and optimum machine performance. Essential Functions Be a single point of contact for the execution and implementation of service projects. Beginning with order placement, responsible for all internal efforts needed to successfully execute the project. This includes, but is not limited, to the creation of the job and project schedule, and continuous monitoring and interaction with the appropriate internal departments to ensure project is completed within specified timeframe. Once project is initiated, work directly with the customer to plan, prepare, and coordinate the on-site project installation. During the actual on-site project installation, lead and coordinate technician teams from various Optima sites. Provide regular information on the current project status and engage in proactive exchange with the customer, at all appropriate levels of the customer organization. Through continuous project management and reporting, ensure customer satisfaction and profitability by always keeping an eye on costs, quality, and deadlines. Independent processing and tracking of orders via the ERP and CRM system to ensure a smooth process. Watch for up-sell opportunities during project coordination and communicate these to the appropriate Service Account Manager. Competencies Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Must have excellent problem-solving skills and desire to strive for customer-focused solutions. Proficient in internal and external communication and collaboration. Ability to multi-task and manage several responsibilities simultaneously. Qualifications Experience with project management is strongly preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience with complex machinery. Deep electrical, mechanical, and automation knowledge is a plus. Required Education and Experience Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree is preferred. Experience with complex manufacturing equipment, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry. Work Environment This job operates in a hybrid model, combining professional office and home office settings. Customer on-site visits are expected. Physical Demands An employee must meet the physical demands described here to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate. This position requires occasionally lifting office products and supplies up to 20 lbs. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Typical hours of work are business hours, Monday through Friday. Travel Regular travel is expected for this position.
