Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Sr. Project Controls & Billing Manager to lead the project management and financial oversight of complex construction projects. This pivotal role combines expertise in project controls, cost management, and billing processes to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with financial objectives. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive approach to project coordination, utilizing advanced construction management software to streamline workflows, enhance accuracy, and drive project success. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive project controls systems to monitor schedule, cost, and scope performance across multiple projects. Oversee project scheduling using Primavera P6 or similar software to ensure accurate timelines and resource allocation. Manage billing processes utilizing HeavyBid or equivalent construction estimating and billing tools, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing aligned with contractual terms. Collaborate closely with project teams to coordinate schedules, budgets, and contractual obligations for seamless project execution. Utilize construction management software such as ProCore and Bluebeam for document control, change management, and communication across teams. Monitor contract compliance, review change orders, and manage risk mitigation strategies related to project scope changes. Lead efforts in project reporting, including progress updates, financial forecasts, and variance analysis to stakeholders. Support site teams by providing technical guidance on construction estimating, scheduling best practices, and contract administration. Ensure adherence to safety standards and quality control procedures throughout all phases of the project lifecycle. Drive continuous improvement initiatives in project controls processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Experience Proven experience in construction management with a focus on project controls and billing for large-scale projects. Extensive knowledge of construction estimating techniques and contract administration practices. Proficiency in Primavera P6 (or Primavera P6), HeavyBid, ProCore, Bluebeam, and other construction management software tools. Strong background in project scheduling, cost control, and resource planning within the construction industry. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high attention to detail. Construction site experience is highly preferred to understand field operations and onsite challenges. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively under tight deadlines. Familiarity with contracts, change order procedures, and risk management strategies in a construction environment.
