Job Description:
Trigyn's direct client has an immediate long-term need for a Sr. Project Manager in Trenton, NJ. The particulars of the position are as follows.
Location:
Remote (However, candidate must have the ability to report in person if required. John Fitch Plaza, Trenton, NJ 08625) Prior experience with the implementation of tax and/or financial case management systems and/or Unemployment tax experience is preferred.
Description:
The Project Manager shall be responsible for managing project activities that require close coordination with the systems design and development, as well as coordinating the activities and direction of the other participating state/county agencies.
Project Manager Activities:
Applying project management methodology throughout the project life cycle, adhering to the standards set by the Project Portfolio Management Office (PPMO), while ensuring that processes and tools comply with industry standards, such as those in the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) by the Project Management Institute; Reporting directly to the Project Manager/Project Management Office Collaborating with the system implementation vendor to develop and maintain the project schedule, including key milestones, dependencies, and critical paths; Partnering with the PMO to establish and enforce project governance structures, escalation procedures, and stakeholder engagement strategies; risk management; issue tracking; Attending and participating in all project-related meetings requested by the State at a location to be determined by the State; Facilitating meetings between respective parties and documenting functional requirements while being on-site during functional requirements meetings and any other pertinent meetings identified by the Project Manager; Coordinating with Vendor, Project Managers, and technical teams of developers, business analysts, data analysts, and data architects for onboarding and implementation initiatives; Ensuring the alignment of system implementation vendor activities with the State's strategic objectives; Oversight of state tasks utilizing existing technologies (PPM tools, Planner, Microsoft Project, TEAM) including the creation and maintenance of the State's project schedule/work breakdown structure to be coordinated based on the overall Project Schedule maintained by the integration vendor; Identifying, documenting, and monitoring risks and issues, and developing appropriate response strategies; Overseeing vendor compliance with the project plan to ensure deliverables are completed on time; Facilitating communication and coordination among system implementation vendors, business users, and IT teams; Assisting department in managing system implementation vendor contract compliance, ensuring deliverables meet internal review standards and contractual requirements; Coordinating go-live readiness activities and collaborating with Employer Accounts to prepare all stakeholders for the system transition; Tracking and resolving outstanding issues following implementation; and Preparing and delivering final project closure documentation and a report on lessons learned.
