Sr. Research Project Coordinator (Epidemiology) Johns Hopkins University United States, Maryland, Baltimore Jun 03, 2026 The Program for Implementation and Equity research in the Department of Epidemiology is seeking a Sr. Research Project Coordinator. The research portfolio includes domestic HIV implementation science studies funded by the NIH. The Sr. Research Project Coordinator will oversee the day-to-day implementation of studies focused on HIV and stigma. Responsibilities include coordinating with partner organizations and ensuring the timely completion of project deliverables. Assists in goal setting and creating implementation plans. Contributes to budget formulation, communications, and data systems. This position requires a deep commitment to advancing human rights for marginalized people through evidence-based and community-informed research. The Sr. Research Project Coordinator oversees the day-to-day activities of a single complex or multiple research projects and makes independent decisions that impact the conduct of the research. Assists in goal setting and creating implementation plans. Contributes to budget formulation, communications, and data systems. Specific Duties & Responsibilities Assist Principal Investigator or more senior research staff to ensure operational feasibility of proposed protocol/study design. Develop standard operating procedures and data collection forms based on understanding of underlying study design. Develop or oversee design and implementation of study procedures and tools for data collection, e.g. participant interviews, administer questionnaires; background research, laboratory processing, etc. Ensure compliance with all protocols, procedures, and applicable regulations. Participate in developing study budget. Set up data collection system and ensure validity of study data. Organize and quality control study data Recommend and implement changes to protocol operations based on results and goals. Conduct literature searches to provide background information. Abstract and index information based on knowledge of subject matter. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in a related field. Three years of related experience. Additional education may substitute for required experience and additional related experience may substitute for required education beyond a high school diploma/graduation equivalent, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
