Job Summary The Chicago Center for HIV Elimination (CCHE) is located at the University of Chicago and is a fully grant-funded research and service Center. CCHE aims to eliminate all new HIV transmission events by 2041. The University of Chicago's position on the South Side makes it uniquely situated to test, treat, and prevent new HIV infections in a highly affected population. The South Side communities and majority Black suburbs connected to them in the South represent the largest contiguous Black population in the United States. By using our integrated HIV transmission elimination approaches, we are beginning to make new infections in these communities less frequent. Please note that this position is funded through a grant, and as such, its continuation is contingent upon the availability of grant funding. The current grant period is scheduled to conclude on June 30, 2027. Employment in this role is expected to end on that date unless there is an extension of the grant or receipt of additional funding to support the position beyond that term. Responsibilities Supporting recruitment, screening for eligibility, and consenting community members. Delivering assessments, interventions, and controls. Supporting data entry and analysis. Offering referrals to service programming when appropriate. Conducting literature reviews, supporting manuscripts, and grant writing. Depending on skill set, may engage in data management and analysis. Oversee day-to-day research project operations. Assist with day-to-day operations of CDC and NIH-funded projects that involve working with LGBTQ and Criminal Justice- Involved (CJI) populations vulnerable to COVID and HIV. Coordinate multiple related projects to ensure optimal recruitment, enrollment, and fidelity to the complex requirements of study participation and follow-up counseling. Assist with the development of study protocols, survey instruments, and maintenance of databases. Support evening and weekend events for when research is requested on-site. Maintains technical and administrative support for a research project. Maintains recruiting and scheduling research subjects; assisting with developing or amending study protocols; assisting with developing data collection tools; assisting with building databases; and providing general administrative support. Has general awareness in research techniques or methods, regulatory policies and procedures, and relevant scientific field. Performs other related work as needed. Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Minimum requirements include a college or university degree in related field.
Work Experience:
Minimum requirements include knowledge and skills developed through < 2 years of work experience in a related job discipline.
