Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Utilities Senior Project Manager to join our Project Delivery team. In this role, you will lead utility service initiation, coordination, and execution across a diverse portfolio of complex projects. You will collaborate closely with utility providers, clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless utility service installations, infrastructure coordination, and accurate documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and solution-oriented, with demonstrated experience working with electric, gas, water, sewer, and telecommunications providers. This role requires a strong understanding of utility company processes, permitting requirements, service installation coordination, and project management best practices. The successful candidate must be able to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment while balancing competing priorities, meeting critical deadlines, and maintaining a high level of attention to detail.

Success in this role is driven by exceptional communication skills and a commitment to keeping clients, contractors, utility representatives, and internal teams informed at every stage of the project. The ability to anticipate challenges, proactively drive solutions, provide timely updates, and communicate progress before stakeholders need to ask is critical to delivering an outstanding client experience and ensuring project success.

What Youll DoServe as the primary communication hub for all assigned projects:

Providing proactive status updates to the Manager, internal Project Management team, and clients on a daily and weekly cadenceEscalating issues before they become delaysEnsuring no stakeholder is left waiting for critical informationServe as a direct point of contact for clients, bringing professionalism, responsiveness, care, and strong interpersonal communication skills to every interaction; maintain and strengthen client relationships through consistent communication, reliable follow-through, and a service-first, solutions-oriented mindsetDemonstrate flexibility in meeting client demands within a high-volume, deadline-driven environmentObtain and review utility design drawings, service agreements, easements, and cost estimatesPrepare utility applications, initiate service orders, and request Load Letters from the Engineer of Record (EOR) / Architect of Record (AOR)Coordinate with electric, gas, water, sewer, and telecommunications providers to establish, modify, relocate, or remove utility servicesReview, coordinate, and markup site utility plans, plumbing, and electrical drawings; confirm number and type of water connections (fire, domestic, irrigation, etc.)Submit applications, load letters, utility site plans, and applicable plumbing/electrical sheets to gas and electric utilities; include Google Earth exhibit for site identification; submit water and sewer applications and utility site plan only unless otherwise requestedAssist with permit acquisition and jurisdictional approvals as they relate to utility work, ensuring compliance with local requirementsFollow up with utility companies regarding engineer assignments, invoices, easements, client signatures, required documentation, and client payments as neededCoordinate on-site meetings with utilities, clients, and contractors; confirm service sources and provide the project team with a comprehensive service outline, including source, type, special conditions, cost, redlines, installation responsibility, and technical requirementsCoordinate utility infrastructure and contractor responsibilities to bring electric, water, gas, sewer, and telecommunications services to project sitesMonitor project milestones and proactively identify potential schedule impacts or utility-related delays, taking corrective action and escalating issues when necessaryParticipate in project meetings and provide utility coordination expertise throughout the project lifecycle, contributing to planning, decision-making, and execution strategyTrack inspection progress and coordinate installation schedules, including meter set coordination with applicable utilitiesCoordinate utility account transfers, billing changes, and service activations/deactivations to ensure accurate and timely service setupProvide project teams with account numbers, meter numbers, and utility transfer information to ensure accurate billing setupMaintain detailed project records and provide regular, structured status updates to clients and internal management teamsPrepare comprehensive utility reports for Director review prior to client submission
Note:
In some instances, this role may be assigned permit/approval project management responsibilities; in those cases, standard Milrose project manager duties apply

Experience in utility coordination, construction utilities, or infrastructure project supportFamiliarity with municipal utility processes and service connection workflows Work Environment & ScheduleThis position is based in Manalapan, NJ, with a hybrid work schedule.
