Irvine, CA| Hybrid A growing, technically focused engineering consulting firm is seeking a Water/Wastewater Conveyance Project Manager to lead the delivery of infrastructure projects across Southern California. This is an opportunity to take ownership of high-impact water and wastewater systems within a collaborative environment that values technical quality, responsiveness, and practical solutions. The Opportunity This role is ideal for a Project Manager who wants to operate with greater autonomy and visibility than is typical in larger consulting firms. You will lead projects from concept through delivery, working in a lean, agile environment where decisions are made efficiently and contributions are immediately visible. The firm prioritizes strong client relationships and high-quality project delivery, offering the opportunity to build both technical depth in conveyance systems and broader leadership responsibility. Key Responsibilities Manage and deliver water and wastewater conveyance projects, including: Transmission and distribution pipelines Sewer collection systems Pump stations and related infrastructure Oversee project performance across scope, schedule, budget, and quality Lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate subconsultants and stakeholders Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and regulatory agencies Review engineering designs, technical reports, and construction documentation Support proposal development and contribute to ongoing client relationships Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering field Professional Engineer (PE) license required Approximately 8-15 years of experience in water/wastewater infrastructure Strong experience in conveyance systems design and project delivery Proven track record managing projects and leading teams Excellent communication and client-facing skills What Sets This Role Apart Focus on conveyance and infrastructure projects, offering depth in a highly relevant and in-demand technical area Opportunity to work in a nimble, technically driven environment where decisions are made efficiently Greater ownership of projects and client relationships than typically found in larger firms Direct collaboration with experienced technical leadership on project execution Exposure to a diverse mix of municipal and utility clients across the region Clear path for continued growth into senior leadership positions Compensation $145,000•$180,000 base salary, depending on experience, plus performance-based bonus and comprehensive benefits.
