Job Description

Job description Freese and Nichols is currently searching for Water Conveyance Project Manager in our Fort Worth, Texas office. As Project Manager you will manage projects through study, design and construction phases of water pump stations, wastewater lift stations, stormwater pump stations, large diameter pipelines and utility work. Serving as primary client contact, advising and informing them regarding project status and schedule Communicating with regulatory agencies, vendors, contractors, partner firms, whose work or services are related to the project and communicating relevant information to the community, or technical groups with interests related to the project Performing and directing complex studies and investigations and preparing reports of findings Selecting equipment and material for projects and/or approving manufacturer's shop drawings of these items Coordinating phases of the work to ensure completion within the established time and budgetary constraints Advising Construction Manager of questions or problems which arise during construction Directing assignments, scheduling work and providing technical oversight for project staff including engineers, technicians, designers, drafters and field representatives Reviewing progress to provide continuity, conformity, and quality Checking calculations of others and sealing drawings and reports Reviewing progress to provide continuity, conformity, and quality Maintaining and expanding technical capabilities to ensure that projects utilize state-of-the-art technology Qualifications Bachelor's degree in civil or mechanical engineering 6+ years experience with design of in water pump stations, wastewater lift stations, and large and small diameter pipelines Professional engineer (PE) license in Texas Preferred 10+ years experience with civil design Involvement in professional organizations About Freese and Nichols At the heart of our culture is our LEADS values ( L earn continuously, E ngage as family, A ct with integrity, D eliver quality, and S erve always).
