Long-Term Contract (12+ Months) Overview We are seeking an experienced Workday Project Manager to lead and support a large-scale Workday Student implementation within a higher education environment. This role will be responsible for driving project execution through multiple deployment phases, coordinating cross-functional teams, managing stakeholders, and ensuring successful delivery of key milestones. The organization is currently progressing through end-to-end testing for the first of three planned go-live phases, with implementation efforts expected to continue over the next year. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record leading complex Workday Student implementations and navigating the unique challenges associated with higher education institutions. Key Responsibilities Lead day-to-day project management activities for a multi-phase Workday Student implementation. Manage project scope, timelines, milestones, risks, dependencies, and deliverables across all phases of the program. Coordinate activities between business stakeholders, functional teams, technical resources, implementation partners, and executive leadership. Facilitate project status meetings, steering committee updates, and stakeholder communications. Oversee testing activities, including end-to-end testing, issue tracking, defect resolution, and readiness planning. Drive project governance processes and ensure alignment with organizational objectives and implementation timelines. Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on delivery schedules. Support change management, user adoption, training coordination, and go-live planning efforts. Monitor project progress and proactively address obstacles to ensure successful execution. Required Qualifications Proven experience serving as Project Manager for Workday implementation programs. Hands-on experience leading or managing Workday Student implementations from planning through deployment. Strong background working within Higher Education environments. Demonstrated ability to manage large, complex enterprise system implementations involving multiple stakeholders and workstreams. Experience overseeing testing cycles, cutover activities, and phased go-live deployments. Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work onsite three days per week. Preferred Qualifications Experience managing multi-phase Workday deployments with multiple go-live events. Familiarity with student lifecycle processes, academic operations, registrar functions, enrollment, and related higher education business processes. Experience collaborating with Workday implementation partners and consulting teams. Ideal Candidate This position is best suited for a seasoned Workday Project Manager who has successfully delivered Workday Student implementations within colleges or universities and is comfortable leading highly visible, business-critical projects through complex testing and deployment phases.
