Assistant Project Manager Wanted!! We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as Assistant Project Manager out at the Charleston AFB Commissary. The Assistant Project Manager will work closely with the Project Manager to ensure the successful execution of all daily operations. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a thorough understanding of grocery and retail operations.
Responsibilities :
Assist the Project Manager in managing and maintaining a team of employees to ensure the smooth operation of the contract requirements. Collaborate with the Project Manager to train and schedule employees, ensuring adequate coverage and optimal performance. Ensure all staffing requirements are met by assisting in the hiring and training of qualified personnel. Gain a comprehensive understanding of all on-site duties, including truck offloading, material handling, stocking, cleaning, and sanitizing. Assist in assimilating and training new employees, ensuring their proficiency in their respective roles. Support the Project Manager in meeting all contract requirements, both in terms of processes and quality. Monitor and manage employee time worked by accurately monitoring data in timekeeping systems. Collaborate with the Project Manager to interface with Regional Manager and corporate offices, ensuring accurate and timely completion of administrative duties. Work with on-site staff and quality assurance inspector to minimize expired merchandise. Enforce company policies, procedures, and safety standards among on-site employees.
Qualifications :
Strong reading and comprehension skills Strong verbal and written communication skills. Previous experience in grocery and retail operations is preferred but not required. Excellent time management skills. Exceptional problem-solving abilities
Compensation :
$21.25/hr, 80 hours every two weeks. Paydays are on the 1 st and 15 th of every month.
