Job Description
Key ResponsibilitiesLead projects through all phases: preconstruction, planning, execution, monitoring and closeout.
Develop and manage project schedules, budgets and cash flow forecasts; track progress and implement corrective actions.
Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors and onsite teams to ensure timely, high-quality work.
Prepare and manage contracts, change orders and procurement of materials and equipment.
Conduct regular site inspections to monitor safety, quality control and compliance with plans, specifications and codes.
Manage project risk by identifying issues early, developing mitigation plans and resolving conflicts.
Serve as primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers and authorities; provide regular project updates and reports.
Ensure compliance with company safety policies and regulatory requirements; lead safety meetings and enforce safe work practices.
Prepare and present project status reports, cost reports and as-built documentation; oversee closeout activities and handover to owners.
Mentor and coordinate with junior staff, superintendents and project engineers to build a cohesive project team.
QualificationsBachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture or related field, or equivalent experience.5+ years of project management experience in commercial construction with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, contract administration and quality control processes.
Proficiency with construction project management software (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid), scheduling tools (MS Project, Primavera) and Microsoft Office.
Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to resolve conflicts and make decisive decisions.
Experience managing subcontractors, procurement processes and construction budgets; strong cost control skills.
Familiarity with health and safety regulations; OSHA 30 or equivalent preferred.
Professional certifications such as PMP, CCM or LEED accreditation are a plus.
Valid drivers license and ability to travel to project sites as required.
