Job Description

DPP is seeking a Project Manager who is interested in multiple infrastructure, cloud-based, information security, and/or application-level projects. Work location : Fully onsite in Columbia, SC.
Duration :
12 months, with possibility of extension
Term :
W2 contract Candidate location : Must be a current SC, NC, or GA resident within commutable distance to Columbia.
Project summary:
An experienced and PMP-certified Project Manager is needed to assist with the current workload of the Security and Technology Services (STS) Project Management Office (PMO). This position is required so that the team continues to be productive and balanced under the current projected workload. This position requires a commitment of 40 hours per week during standard business hours. For the first twelve months the selected candidate is required to work onsite at the designated work location. You will be one member of a team that is comprised of proven experts in some or all the fields of analysis, research, project management, networking, virtual environments, information security, encryption, network automation, centralized IT management, cloud computing, Microsoft applications, SQL database management systems, end-user support, and applications development or support environments, etc.
Required skills:
3+ years of experience in developing and maintaining documentation for core project collateral, training, policies, procedures, and best practices 3+ years of Project Management Experience with infrastructure, network, or applications projects 3+ years of experience with Full Life Cycle Change Management 3+ years of experience with PCI, PUB1075, and/or NIST Standards.
Active PMP Certificate Preferred skills:
Experience as a project manager in Government IT projects Knowledge of Microsoft products- Windows, SharePoint, Microsoft Project, MS Office, Office 365, Visio Business/Quality Analyst experience Vendor management skills Metrics analysis and reporting Information Security Project experience Required education/certification: A Bachelor''s degree in information technology systems, computer science, or related field and 4 years of experience in information technology systems or related area PMP certification that can be verified by
PMI Preferred:
Industry certifications in the field Specific duties and responsibilities: Serves as Project Manager for specific revenue projects and activities; works with Security and Technology Services (STS) Management on priorities and timeframes of projects; plans work and schedule for projects; coordinates interaction between interrelated project teams; reviews and assesses progress of projects and activities and takes corrective action where necessary. Ensures that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to customer requirements. Is required to follow 's methodology, the Project Management Approach for The Systems Development Lifecycle. Assists Agency management and project stakeholders in information technology planning related to the program Clarifies expectations and defines requirements. Directs the work activities and priorities of team leaders, architects, consultants, analysts, and technicians engaged in design, procurement, testing, and implementation of projects and activities. Responsible for providing feedback to management on staff, assignments, training, development, and performance related to the client. Serves as primary contact person for project stakeholders and contractors to resolve day-to-day issues, process change requests and manage schedules for projects and activities. Escalates to the management and project sponsors any issues, change requests, and schedule impacts. Coordinates with agency management and resources responsible for ongoing maintenance and support of components post-implementation as needed for knowledge transfer and for coordination with new implementation. Estimates, tracks and reports on costs, including potential hard dollar, and internal personnel and contractor hours. Reports regularly to Management and Sponsor as to project status, including project accomplishments, issues, risks, and financials. Serves as project advisor to Management, Project Sponsors, and Steering Committee. Documents expected benefits, such as reduction in cycle time, personnel savings, and any hard dollar savings for any enhancement requests other than ones mandated by legislation.
