Job Description
Piper Companies is seeking a Survey Project Manager to lead complex land surveying projects supporting large‑scale infrastructure initiatives through on-site work in Columbia, S C. This role is ideal for a results‑driven survey professional with strong project management experience who enjoys balancing field coordination, client engagement, and team leadership. Responsibilities of the
Survey Project Manager:
- Manage land surveying projects from initiation through closeout, ensuring quality standards, client requirements, schedules, and budgets are consistently met.
- Coordinate daily field and office operations while developing project plans, staffing strategies, proposals, contracts, and billing schedules.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, fostering strong relationships while supporting work across infrastructure sectors such as energy, utilities, and renewables.
- Monitor financial performance, mentor project staff, and provide regular progress updates and reporting to leadership.
Survey Project Manager:
- Established experience in land surveying with direct responsibility for managing projects, teams, and client deliverables.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, MicroStation, and related surveying/design software; strong skills within the MS Office Suite.
- Collaborative leadership style with a focus on team development and operational excellence.
- Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license preferred but not required.
- Bachelor's degree in surveying, geomatics, civil engineering, or a related field (or equivalent hands‑on experience).
Survey Project Manager:
Salary Range:
