Position Summary The Project Manager is responsible for leading and delivering Front-End Loading (FEL) studies for mining and mineral processing projects, with a specific focus on lithium, critical minerals, and rare earth elements. This role drives project success during early development phases by managing multidisciplinary teams, coordinating technical inputs, and developing project scope, schedule, and cost frameworks aligned with client objectives. The Project Manager plays a critical role in shaping project outcomes by identifying risks and opportunities, supporting strategic decision-making, and ensuring projects are positioned for successful execution. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage FEL studies (FEL 1, FEL 2, FEL 3) for mining and mineral processing projects Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering and technical teams, including mining, process, mechanical, electrical, and civil disciplines Develop and manage project scope, schedules, and cost estimates aligned with client and stakeholder requirements Facilitate technical workshops, risk assessments, and value engineering sessions Provide leadership in identifying project risks, constraints, and opportunities during early project phases Ensure alignment between project objectives, technical solutions, and client business goals Interface directly with clients, stakeholders, and internal leadership to communicate progress and key decisions Support development of project execution strategies and investment decision packages Monitor and control project performance against scope, schedule, and budget Lead preparation of FEL deliverables, including study reports, execution plans, and capital cost estimates Ensure compliance with industry standards, company procedures, and regulatory requirements Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mining, Metallurgy, or a related discipline 10+ years of experience in project management, engineering, or project controls within mining, mineral processing, or heavy industrial sectors Demonstrated experience leading or supporting FEL studies or early-phase project development Strong understanding of mining processes, mineral processing facilities, or critical minerals projects Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams Proven ability to manage project scope, schedule, and cost in complex environments Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills Preferred Qualifications Experience with lithium, battery materials, rare earth elements, or critical minerals projects Background in EPC or EPCM project execution Familiarity with capital project development frameworks and stage-gate processes Experience supporting feasibility studies, pre-feasibility, or concept development Professional Engineer (PE) license or PMP certification TRS Staffing Solutions are an equal opportunities employer, and we welcome you to provide OFCCP data voluntarily here (https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=\_kyGdW3ynEG2ncY4aVtVM-Ae8m-ZY39DmkVklULkcVtUNFFBR1g2Sk1EUExNWFpKVTZHRlNTRldaRC4u) We are an equal opportunity employer.
