Position Summary:
The Traffic Signal and Sports Lighting Project Manager will help with estimating, managing, scheduling, and tracking projects to the end.
Responsibilities:
Analyze and validate estimator-prepared bids, ensuring accuracy, competitiveness, and compliance with project scope, specifications, and budget targets Provide initial review of incoming contracts to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with project scope and company requirements Collaborate with administrative staff to facilitate efficient contract execution, ensuring all documentation is complete, accurate, and properly processed Establish contracts in company systems, ensuring accurate setup of project budgets, cost codes, and all related documentation Manage the preparation and issuance of subcontracts, ensuring all terms, scope, pricing, and compliance requirements are accurately documented and aligned with prime contract obligations Lead coordination with the procurement team to manage purchase order issuance and submittal preparation; ensure all materials, documentation, and approvals meet project specifications, schedules, and contractual obligations Lead coordination with project coordinators and superintendents to plan, develop, and maintain project schedules; proactively address delays, resource constraints, and sequencing challenges to ensure on-time project delivery Manage and resolve ongoing project challenges, coordinating with internal teams and stakeholders to mitigate risks, maintain schedules, and uphold quality standards Oversee monthly billing processes, including preparation, review, and validation of invoices; ensure alignment with project progress, contract terms, and financial reporting requirements Prepare and maintain monthly cost forecasts, analyzing budget performance, identifying variances, and updating projections to reflect current and anticipated project conditions Prepare, review, and track change orders and supplemental agreements, including scope definition, cost analysis, and documentation; ensure timely approval and integration into project budgets and schedules Oversee the tracking and resolution of past-due receivables, initiating follow-up actions, coordinating with clients, and working with internal stakeholders to ensure timely payment and maintain project cash flow Oversee project closeout, including collection of required documentation (e.g., as-builts, warranties, lien releases), ensuring full compliance with contract terms and successful project completion
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field recommended. Electrical license is desired but not required. Previous project management experience is strongly preferred. Strong mathematical and analytical skills, with the ability to apply them in practical problem-solving. Proven ability to plan, coordinate, and manage both personal workload and team resources effectively. Strong situational awareness with the ability to identify potential issues before they escalate. Demonstrate ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Solid track record in people management, process improvement, and performance management. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with scheduling and construction management software is a plus. Self-motivated, proactive, and driven with a strong willingness to learn and grow.

May be exposed to uncomfortable or distracting sounds or noise levels on sites of projects being managed or coordinated. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. When working on site, will be required to wear common protective or safety equipment, such as safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, high visibility vests and masks.
