The Role As a Plumbing Project Manager, you will be responsible for preparing work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents. Identifie labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents. Compute costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements. Ensuring jobs are started up and direct communication with Install Supervsior and installers performing work, This position will work directly with Plumbing Install Supervisor, Plumbing Ops Manager, Commercial Account Manager,and any job site supervisor(s) to ensure jobs are completed on scheduled time. Ensuring payment is received inside scheduled delivery time is required. The position will be based in the office and field and have varying working hours based on the needs of the business. Responsibilities Resolve all pricing options and target the appropriate price for the project. Identify areas for training with Install Supervisor and Ops Manager. Gather information from local government and private entities that may affect project (i.e., permits, hearings, etc.). Complete quantity takeoffs and summations of materials. Solicit trade partners, obtain bid estimates, and time projections for preparing vendor proposal comparisons and estimate summary sheets. Build Project Estimates. Prepare, organize, and coordinate Request for Proposal documents. Prepare, and coordinate schedules, utilizing schedule information to estimate General Contractor's and other scheduled items. Participate in plan and estimate review meetings, other project review meetings, and site investigations, as needed. Solicit new bidders when needed and obtain necessary documents for inclusion in future projects. Provide onsite assistance for all sold jobs and be available for technical assistance. Assists in providing details for order entry, drafting, production and layout of orders received. Corresponds and contacts sales reps to obtain missing info, recommends change or substitution to improve cost, delivery, or product. Interprets customer requirements and prepares and revises quotations based upon takeoffs, emails, and specifications. Works from emails, takeoffs, drawings, bid forms, verbal and written requests to prepare quotes. Reports directly to the Plumbing Operations Manager. Performs other related duties as assigned by management. Provides technical product support to designers and customers as related to the quote Requirements Minimum 5 years of plumbing experience Financial acumen includes the ability to determine if a job is profitable and what operational activities affect positive or negative results. IT competent, and I have previous experience with Microsoft Office and the latest sales applications. Highly organized with exceptional follow-through abilities. Strong verbal and written communications. Good presentation and public speaking skills. Familiar with local codes and can speak to company product lines. Outgoing personality that blends well with a fast-paced, goal-driven environment. Highly motivated, flexible, and great attitude on life. Compensation This position starts at a base salary of $60,000 and will also include a bonus of 5% sales commission on all completed projects.
