Project Management Specialist - Engineering Work Force Strategy (Mid-Level or Lead)

The Boeing Company The Boeing Company is currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled Project Management Specialist - Engineering Work Force Strategy (Mid-Level or Lead) to join our dynamic South Carolina Engineering Design Center. The successful candidate will help support several workforce development initiatives that directly engage and support our BSC engineering team. These programs are critical to BSC teammates development and include but are not limited to: Early Career Experiences (ECE), Knowledge and Empowerment for Your Success (KEYS), Engineering Central, College Internships, and High School Development Program. We are hiring for multiple levels including Mid-Level (Level 3) or Lead (Level 4) Project Manager. Primary Responsibilities:
Supports preparation, development, coordination, scheduling, and change management activities of maintaining an integrated plan to meet program and/or project requirements in accordance with project management industry standards. Participate in maintaining, analyzing and producing metrics related to plans. Assists with more experienced personnel with risk assessments, developing mitigation plans and refining the business case. Develops, collects, organizes and provides data, updates tasks, to maintain status of programs, schedule, customer and supplier commitments and compliance. Coordinates document work statements and resulting schedules. Identifies and provides reports on performance variances, project status, and changes information to project team. Communicates plan changes and recovery plans to ensure commitment to collaborators. Independently develops, coordinates, integrates, analyzes, and maintains an integrated plan and schedule to meet program and/or project requirements in accordance with project management industry standards. Perform studies, analysis (trend, variance, impact), risk assessments to determine impacts, and constraints involving product development, production rates, process improvement, program initiatives. Creates schedule, reports, metrics, change activity, communicates and updates plans regularly throughout lifecycle of program or project. Works to improve project management processes, business systems, and implement standard methodologies that support project decision makers. Directs all phases of projects or subsystems of major projects from inception through completion. Acts as primary project contact to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives. Assist customers to develop performance recovery plans and ensure all project control systems are in place to support ongoing support to partners. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience): 3+ years of experience managing a portfolio of projects and utilizing standard project management tools 3+ years of experience utilizing Microsoft Office applications such as SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Project 3+ years of experience working with cross-functional teams and interfacing with key stakeholders Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Level 4: 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience Bachelor's degree and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification 3+ years of experience in developing and implementing process improvements 3+ years of experience developing and delivering presentations to senior leadership 3+ years of experience using Integrated Scheduling tools such as: Open Plan Professional (OPP), Microsoft Project Professional, Microsoft Planner, or a similar tool Conflict of Interest:
