Job Description

Overview The Residential Roofing Production Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of residential roofing projects from start to finish. This role ensures jobs are completed safely, efficiently, on budget, and to the highest standards. The Director of Production serves as the key link between crews, suppliers, and customers, ensuring a smooth process and exceptional customer experience. Key Responsibilities Project Management & Scheduling Coordinate and schedule all residential roofing jobs, ensuring optimal crew and resource utilization. Manage production timelines and track progress against goals. Ensure permits, inspections, and compliance requirements are met. Assist and help with larger repair jobs and assist and help repair project manager Fill in and help other project managers when they are gone or need assistance in the field Crew & Vendor Coordination Lead, manage, and hold installation crews accountable for quality and efficiency. Assign crews to jobs based on skillset, availability, and workload. Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and manage material orders and deliveries. Responsible for communicating with Sales manager about pricing problems and issues in the estimate templates. Build, alter change templates to become more efficient Quality & Safety Oversight Inspect job sites before, during, and after installation to ensure workmanship meets company standards. Enforce safety protocols and OSHA compliance on all projects. Address and resolve production issues quickly to minimize delays and rework. Customer Experience Serve as the customer's main point of contact during production. Provide proactive updates, answer questions, and resolve concerns. Ensure post-installation punch lists and warranty items are completed in a timely manner. Administration & Reporting Track and report on job costs, production metrics, and crew performance. Work with sales and office staff to ensure smooth handoff of projects. Support continuous improvement initiatives in production efficiency and customer satisfaction. Qualifications Proven experience in roofing, construction, or a related industry Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Knowledge of roofing systems, installation practices, and safety requirements. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Proficient with project management tools, scheduling software, and basic computer skills. Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
