Job Description:
Project Manager Performs low to moderately complex projects in accordance to the SPP34 Series and delegated approval to work on IT projects through the IT Project Approval Board (PAB) and Project Review Board, if applicable. Required to perform necessary training as documented in the SPP 34 series. This IT Project Manager position has SOX Control requirements for both the employee and the manager. Serves as the primary point of contact for each project and assumes the leadership role in managing the project to ensure safety, environmental, quality, budget, and schedule goals are met, or functions within a larger project. Applies professional principles, practices, and techniques. May supervise others. Responsible for the overall planning, coordination, monitoring and controlling, quality, implementation, execution, and completion, within cost and schedule, of assigned projects. Uses resource availability and project objectives to guide and inform decisions. Achieves successful project outcomes through collaboration, negotiation, and influencing of assigned project teams, as well as internal and external stakeholders, over whom the Project Manager may have no formal authority. Responsible for the overall planning, direction, management, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects according to specifications, within budget cost from initiation through completion. Leads Joint Project Teams (JPTs). Applies professional principles, practices and techniques to manage and control project schedule, cost and performance risk. Ensures projects are completed within a certain set of restraints (e.g., time, budget, and performance requirements).
