Job Title:
Project Manager Job Description We are seeking a diligent and skilled Project Manager to develop and implement detailed project plans, ensuring the successful completion of engineering requests. The role involves providing technical resources and support to production departments, with a focus on optimizing site equipment availability and reliability. The position includes overseeing projects ranging from small upgrades to large-scale heavy equipment upgrades. Responsibilities Develop detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements. Design systems and components for new installations, upgrades, and modifications to existing equipment. Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to determine project viability. Provide technical support and expertise in mechanical engineering to ensure optimal performance and reliability of equipment. Perform calculations, simulations, and analyses to validate design concepts and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Select appropriate materials, equipment, and technologies for project implementation. Coordinate and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including process engineers, electrical engineers, and construction personnel, to achieve project goals. Evaluate and select vendors and contractors for project execution. Prepare technical specifications, request for proposals (RFPs), and bid evaluations. Oversee contractor work to ensure compliance with project requirements and safety standards. Ensure all projects adhere to quality control standards and safety regulations. Qualification Proficiency in project management. Expertise in mechanical and electrical systems, specifically within a heavy industrial manufacturing/processing environment. Strong process documentation skills. Minimum five years of experience in project engineering, preferably in a heavy industrial setting. Proven experience in managing capital projects from conception to completion. Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to project management. Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related field is a plus but not required. Familiarity with DCS (Distributed Control Systems) and I&E (Instrumentation and Electrical) is a plus. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Clarksville, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
