We are seeking a experienced Project Manager to lead civil and commercial sitework projects including grading, earthwork, water and utility installations. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering projects on time, on budget and to quality and safety standards, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, managing subcontractors, and maintaining strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities:
Lead full project lifecycle from pre-construction through commissioning and closeout for civil and commercial sitework projects (grading, earthwork, water and utilities). Develop, maintain and monitor project schedules and budgets; proactively identify and mitigate risks to meet milestones and financial targets. Coordinate and manage subcontractors, vendors and specialty contractors; oversee procurement and materials delivery to maintain workflow. Review and interpret civil construction plans, specifications and geotechnical reports; ensure quality control and compliance with design intent. Obtain and manage permits, ensure regulatory compliance, and coordinate with local agencies and utility providers. Prepare and administer change orders, track contract modifications and maintain accurate project documentation and reporting. Implement and enforce site safety programs and ensure adherence to OSHA and company safety standards. Communicate regularly with clients, design teams, inspectors and stakeholders; provide project updates, forecasts and problem-resolution plans. Perform on-site supervision as needed, conduct progress inspections, and coordinate testing/inspection schedules. Drive continuous improvement by documenting lessons learned and supporting post-project closeout activities. Qualifications Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field, or equivalent professional experience. Minimum 5 years of project management experience in civil or commercial construction with emphasis on sitework, grading, earthwork, water and utilities. Proven track record managing budgets, schedules and subcontractor performance on mid-to-large scale projects. Strong ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications and geotechnical reports. Familiarity with permitting processes, utility coordination and local agency requirements. Proficiency with project management and scheduling tools (MS Project, Primavera, or similar) and experience with construction documentation software. Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to lead field and office teams. Certifications such as PMP, CCM or OSHA 30 are preferred. Valid drivers license and willingness to travel to job sites as required.
