Senior Construction Project Manager (Water/Wastewater) - Knoxville, TNUnderground Utilities | Pump Stations | Lift Stations |
Key ResponsibilitiesLead end-to-end delivery of water and wastewater construction projects, including WTP/WWTPs, pump stations, lift stations, force mains, and underground utility scopesManage all project financials, including budgeting, cost tracking, forecasting, pay applications, and cost-to-complete reportingDevelop and maintain project schedules; partner closely with field leadership to drive production and resolve issuesOversee subcontractor procurement and buyout, scope definition, contract negotiations, and change managementServe as the primary point of contact for owners, engineers, inspectors, and internal stakeholdersLead and mentor project staff (PMs, APMs, and Project Engineers) and contribute to continuous improvement of project delivery processesQualifications10+ years of experience as a Project Manager with a general contractor or heavy civil contractorDirect experience with one or more of the following:
Underground utilities / large-diameter pipePump stations and lift stationsWater or wastewater treatment plant construction or upgradesStrong understanding of project controls, including cost management, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and change ordersExperience managing projects in the $10M+ rangeAbility to collaborate effectively with field teams and operate in a fast-paced construction environmentPreferred ExperienceDesign-Build or CMAR project deliveryProcore, Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar construction management softwareDegree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience)LocationKnoxville, TNOpen to local candidates or those willing to relocate to the Knoxville / East Tennessee areaCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive compensation package commensurate with experience, along with comprehensive benefits and long-term growth opportunities within a stable and growing organization.
