The Data Management Project Specialist will support DOT Project Management Division by managing, analyzing, and reporting project data. This role ensures project information is accurate, consistent, and accessible and supports data driven decision making for DOT Project Managers. The position collaborates with teams to integrate data, support project control processes, and improve the use of project information. This role will support HDR's DOT client in Nashville, TN.
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform project control activities related to workflow tracking, scheduling, quality management, production monitoring, and financial commitments. Collaborate to integrate project data into mapping tools and other technology applications. Manage, maintain, and analyze project data to support DOT project management activities. Summarize budgets, track trends, and generate standardized reports for Project Managers and executive leadership. Use data analysis to measure regional progress and support strategic planning and decision-making. Facilitate data sharing by organizing information so it is easy to access, understand, and use.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field 1 year of demonstrated competency in transportation systems and data management practices Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy Ability to analyze and interpret project data Knowledge of project control and project management processes Strong collaboration and communication skills Ability to produce clear, standardized reports for varied audiences Local candidates preferred with ability to occasionally travel to client sites Required Qualifications Associate degree in a closely related field or combination of education and relevant experience A minimum of 1 years related experience Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must What We Believe HDR is our company.
