Job Description

About Newcourse Communications Newcourse Communications builds technology and operational solutions for mortgage servicers, banks, and other regulated financial services companies. Our clients depend on us for communications and compliance-driven workflows where errors have real consequences. We're growing our product and engineering capabilities and building the internal processes to match, which means the people joining now will have a direct hand in shaping how we operate. The Role When a client submits a request, something has to happen. Someone has to understand what was asked, figure out who needs to do what, keep everyone moving in the same direction, and make sure the request gets closed. At Newcourse, that person is the Project Manager. You'll own a high-volume pipeline of active client requests across multiple clients simultaneously, coordinating across Programmers, Account Executives, and Compliance to drive each one to resolution. This is an individual contributor role. This is not a hands-on development role. You don't need to write code. But you do need to understand enough about how software works to follow a technical conversation, ask the right follow-up questions, and recognize when a request has grown beyond what the standard fulfillment process can handle. What You'll Do Own the pipeline. You are the directly responsible individual for active client requests. That means tracking status, driving action, and knowing where every open item stands at any given time. Coordinate across teams. Programmers, Account Executives, and Compliance all have a stake in how requests get handled. You connect those groups, surface conflicts early, and keep decisions moving. Run the standup. You'll facilitate a recurring Mon/Wed/Fri standup with all three groups. Initially, you'll follow an established format; over time, you'll own the meeting entirely. Prioritize and focus. Not every request can be next. You'll work with the relevant teams to make priority calls and communicate those decisions clearly. Escalate appropriately. When a request is too large or too complex for the standard process, you'll recognize it and route it to the Product Manager for handling as an enhancement request or custom development work. What We're Looking For Required 5 or more years of experience in a coordination, operations, or project management role Demonstrated ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously without dropping details Comfort communicating across technical and non-technical stakeholders Strong written communication skills; you'll be writing status updates and internal summaries regularly Ability to recognize when something has changed scope and escalate before it becomes a problem Preferred Background in mortgage servicing, banking, or another regulated industry Familiarity with agile or Kanban workflows Experience working directly with software development teams, even in a non-technical capacity Why Newcourse Newcourse is a company where operational work is visible and outcomes are measurable. You'll know at the end of each week what moved forward and what didn't. As the client request process matures, this role has a natural path toward broader process ownership and involvement in how we build and refine the systems around it. If you want to grow into a larger operational or product role in a company that's actively building both, this is a great place to start. • This position requires authorization to work in the United States. Newcourse Communications does not sponsor employment visas at this time.
