Tennessee , Antioch Job Description Job Summary The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing multiple construction and fabrication projects from award through completion. This role requires strong organizational, communication, and technical skills to ensure projects are executed efficiently, accurately, and professionally. The position involves working closely with customers, internal teams, and vendors, with a key responsibility for managing change orders—including generating costs based on labor hours and materials and clearly justifying those costs to customers. Key Responsibilities Manage assigned projects with minimal supervision from start to finish Represent the company professionally in all interactions with customers, vendors, and team members Maintain organized, accurate, and up-to-date project documentation for easy access and reference Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams via email and verbal communication Read, interpret, and understand construction and shop drawings Coordinate schedules, materials, fabrication, and delivery activities Multi-task across multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines Negotiate project details, timelines, and change order impacts with customers Apply strong math skills to calculate quantities, labor hours, and costs Understand the construction and structural steel fabrication process Change Order & Cost Management Responsibilities Identify scope changes and potential impacts to project cost and schedule Generate detailed change order pricing based on: Labor hours worked or projected Material quantities and costs Equipment, subcontractor, or logistical impacts Accurately track labor hours and material usage related to change orders Prepare clear, professional change order documentation Justify change order costs to customers with logical, transparent explanations Communicate cost impacts confidently and professionally to gain customer approval Ensure all approved change orders are properly documented and billed Required Skills & Abilities Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Excellent computer skills Strong organizational and time-management skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to negotiate professionally and effectively Strong math and analytical skills Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously Understanding of construction processes Ability to read and interpret construction drawings Basic knowledge of structural steel, welding, and assembly methods (preferred) Qualifications & Certifications High School Diploma or College Degree (preferred, not mandatory) Experience in the structural steel fabrication industry (preferred, not mandatory) Project Management certification is a plus Military experience is a plus Valid driver's license required Salary Compensation is dependent on qualifications, experience, and skill level.
