Job Title:
Civil Project Manager Job Description The Civil Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of civil construction projects, focusing on preconstruction, estimating, project management, and financial oversight. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills to coordinate with clients, field teams, and subcontractors. Responsibilities Perform quantity takeoffs and cost estimating for grading, utilities, and concrete. Analyze plans, specifications, and geotechnical reports. Lead bid efforts, subcontractor solicitation, and estimate reviews. Develop project schedules and phasing plans using estimating software such as ProEst. Manage the full project lifecycle, including buyout, mobilization, construction, and closeout. Coordinate self-performed work in earthwork, utilities, and concrete. Lead site logistics, scheduling, quality, and safety efforts. Manage and coordinate subcontractors, adjusting project schedules as necessary. Develop and manage project budgets and cost controls. Review and approve invoices, pay applications, and change orders. Lead monthly financial reviews and forecasting. Serve as the primary liaison between clients, field teams, and stakeholders. Lead project meetings and coordination efforts. Maintain strong relationships with owners, inspectors, and agencies. Essential Skills Project management experience in civil construction, heavy civil, and sitework. Proven experience managing grading, utilities, and concrete projects. Experience with self-performed work. Strong understanding of project financials, cost control, and scheduling. Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and geotechnical reports. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field is preferred. Experience with ProEst, Procore, MS Project, or similar software. Experience managing projects in Middle Tennessee or local market. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $52.88/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
