Project Manager (PE), Transportation Halff Associates, Inc. life insurance, paid time off, paid holidays, 401(k) United States, Texas, Austin 13620 Briarwick Drive (Show on map) May 20, 2026 Description Project Manager (PE), Transportation, Austin, TX Halff is seeking a Project Manager (PE) to join our Transportation/Roadway team in Austin, TX. This role is ideal for a licensed Texas PE with a strong background in roadway design and a passion for leading projects, developing teams, and delivering high-quality solutions for DOT and municipal clients. What you will do:
Lead and manage roadway/transportation design projects from planning through delivery Oversee project scope, budgets, schedules, and resource allocation Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, subconsultants, and stakeholders to ensure project success Provide technical guidance and mentorship to Engineers, EITs, and support staff Ensure project deliverables meet design standards, quality expectations, and client requirements Build and maintain strong client relationships and support ongoing client satisfaction Review plans and deliverables for accuracy, quality, and consistency Assist with proposal development, RFQs, and business development efforts Partner with Transportation leadership on project delivery and strategic growth initiatives Monitor project performance, including budget tracking and schedule adherence Support QA/QC processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and Halff expectations What you will need: Bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering or ABET accredited equivalent engineering degree. Professional Engineer (PE) License in the State of Texas. 8+ years of experience in roadway project development (TXDOT and/or municipal projects preferred) Strong experience in roadway design and plan production Proficiency in OpenRoads Proven ability to lead teams and manage projects from start to finish Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills Experience working with local agencies and regulatory requirements Commitment to quality, integrity, and client service Primavera (P6) experience is a plus The Halff Transportation Advantage Multi-discipline teams to meet challenges that are often complicated by aging infrastructure and shrinking budgets.
