YOUR FUTURE TEAM

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Serve as project manager for Air Modeling and Data Analysis (AMDA) section technical projects. Assist the section with implementation and management of technical activities, for State Implementation Plan (SIP) related projects such as attainment demonstration, exceptional events, etc. Communicate technical details, status of and timelines on AMDA's SIP related projects and contract activities to division or executive management, agency staff, other state/federal agencies, environmental organizations, and the general public, as needed. Conduct complex scientific/statistical/data analyses required for AMDA's SIP and research projects, as needed. Initiate and manage scientific/research projects related to modeling and data analysis through contracts and grants. Review and assist in the preparation of SIP documentation and reports to include details of associated air modeling and data analysis activities. Prepare contract and grant documents for AMDA contract projects. Follow agency guidelines on templates and formats. Prepare complex reports and presentations for the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the public and scientific community regarding air quality modeling and data analysis activities. Present findings to the public, scientific community, and management. Conduct peer review of technical reports, presentations, and documents.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
Air quality project manager/coordination experience and/or general project management/coordination experience. Experience interpreting or implementing rules, technical guidance, policies and/or processes related to air quality modeling or data analysis. Experience presenting/communicating information to executive management, external stakeholders and/or public. Experience developing technical documentation and/or technical presentations. Experience retrieving (querying), reviewing, and analyzing complex data sets. Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE A
bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university plus four years of full-time experience managing, coordinating, overseeing, and/or in conducting project management in relevant areas of project assignment. One year of additional experience may substitute for each year (30 semester hours) of the required education. A graduate degree in public administration, business administration, environmental resource management, planning, or an area relevant to the position, from an accredited college or university may substitute up to two years of the required experience. Employees in this classification series may research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure, including but not limited to a communication infrastructure system, cybersecurity system, electric grid, hazardous waste treatment system, or water treatment facility. See Tex. Business & Commerce Code Section 117.001(2). Accordingly, the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the infrastructure is a requirement to be hired for and to continue to be employed with

CURRENT TCEQ EMPLOYEES
This position is also available as a lateral transfer opportunity (LTO) to TCEQ employees within the Project Manager III state classification. The selected candidate must meet the minimum qualifications of the corresponding job in the Project Manager III series. Work Schedule Standard business hours are M-F, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Individual and work group schedule determined by the TCEQ Air Quality Division.
