Job Description

Position Summary The Contract Furniture Field Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the on-site execution of commercial furniture projects, ensuring installations are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project plans. This role serves as the primary field representative, coordinating labor, site conditions, and project timelines while working closely with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and experienced in managing field operations within a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage all on-site activities for contract furniture installation projects Review project drawings, specifications, and scope to ensure readiness for installation Coordinate with project coordinators, sales, and design teams to align field execution with project requirements Develop and manage installation schedules, sequencing, and labor allocation Supervise installation crews and subcontractors to ensure productivity and quality standards are met Conduct pre-installation site assessments to verify conditions, access, and readiness Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve field issues including site conflicts, damages, and missing product Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and jobsite requirements Monitor project progress and provide regular status updates to stakeholders Manage field changes and communicate impacts to schedule and cost Oversee punch list completion, project closeout, and client sign-off Maintain accurate field documentation including daily reports, labor tracking, and issue logs Qualifications 3-7 years of experience in contract furniture installation, field project management, or related construction field Strong understanding of commercial furniture systems, installation processes, and jobsite coordination Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, furniture plans, and specifications Demonstrated leadership experience managing crews and subcontractors Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Excellent communication and client-facing abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with project management or field reporting software preferred OSHA certification (or willingness to obtain) preferred Work Environment & Physical Requirements Field-based position with frequent travel to project sites Regular standing, walking, and active supervision on construction sites Ability to lift and move materials as needed and navigate active jobsite conditions Flexibility to work extended hours, evenings, or weekends as required by project schedules Key Competencies Leadership and accountability Attention to detail and quality assurance Scheduling and time management Problem-solving under pressure Customer service and relationship management Adaptability and teamwork
