Assistant Project ManagerJob Description We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our team and assist in the management and estimation of construction projects. You will work closely with the Project Management team to ensure successful project completion and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors. Responsibilities + Work directly with the Project Management team to manage and estimate construction projects. + Organize and control project elements to complete engineering projects. + Review drawings for accuracy and correctness. + Assemble necessary details to prepare job bid proposals. + Develop relationships with subcontractors and interact with them to gather information for job bids. + Support the Project Manager in collecting information for the monthly Work in Progress (WIP) report. + Assist in projecting and adhering to job budgets and task timings. + Maintain the project schedule by monitoring progress, coordinating activities, and resolving issues. + Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends, recommending actions. + Travel to job site locations as necessary to review progress and provide solutions to challenges. + Assist in maintaining project timelines and deadlines. + Ensure a safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations. + Maintain the project database by updating construction systems. + Support the Project Manager by answering customer inquiries. + Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed. Essential Skills + Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment. + Leadership abilities to communicate and influence others. + Positive attitude focused on customers and clients. + Superb personal and communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels within the organization. + Exceptional problem-solving, administrative, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills. + Ability to work self-sufficiently or as part of a team. + Proficiency in Microsoft Projects, Office, Excel, Word, etc. Additional Skills & Qualifications + BA/Associates degree preferred or equivalent work experience. + Ability to read, interpret, and understand construction drawings. + Working knowledge of project budgeting and pricing of materials and labor. + 2+ years of experience in the construction field with potential to lead projects up to $2.5M in scope. + Experience in construction management, mechanical, MEP, and project engineering. Work Environment The position is based onsite in Haskell, Texas, with typical office environment demands and occasional field travel. A monthly per diem of $3,400 is provided. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dallas, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $47.00/hr.
