The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, executing and delivering projects on time, on budget, and to required quality and safety standards. This role requires strong technical understanding of mechanical systems, proven construction management skills, and the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders including owners, engineers, subcontractors and vendors in high-consequence environments. Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end project delivery for commercial and mission-critical construction projects, including mechanical, plumbing and HVAC scopes. Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts and critical path analyses; proactively manage cost and schedule performance to meet targets. Coordinate and manage subcontractors, trade partners and vendors; evaluate bids, negotiate scopes, and oversee subcontract administration. Review, interpret and coordinate MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) drawings, specifications and shop drawings to ensure constructability and compliance with design intent. Implement and enforce quality control, safety programs and mission-critical protocols to meet contractual and regulatory requirements. Manage procurement of long-lead items and materials; track deliveries and ensure on-site availability to support the schedule. Identify, document and manage project risks and issues; prepare mitigation plans and execute corrective actions as needed. Administer change orders, manage client approvals, and ensure proper documentation of scope changes and cost impacts. Lead project meetings with owners, consultants, inspectors and internal teams; provide clear, timely status reports and project documentation. Oversee commissioning, testing and turnover activities for mechanical and mission-critical systems; ensure successful startup and client acceptance. Drive continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and implementing best practices across projects. Qualifications Minimum 3+ years of project management experience in commercial construction with direct responsibility for mechanical/MEP scopes (plumbing and HVAC); experience in mission-critical facility projects strongly preferred. Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, contracts and subcontractors; familiarity with project controls and cost management tools. Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, HVAC design and installation practices, plumbing systems and applicable codes and standards. Experience with construction management software (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid), scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and MS Office. Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills; ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and work effectively with owners and design professionals. Experience with commissioning and startup of mechanical and mission-critical systems. Relevant certifications preferred (PMP, CCM, OSHA 30, or similar) and willingness to obtain site-specific safety credentials. Valid drivers license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
