Job Title:
Assistant Project Manager Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Project Manager to join our dynamic team. This role involves working closely with the Project Management team to manage and estimate construction projects, ensuring successful completion within scope and budget. Responsibilities Work directly with the Project Management team to help manage and estimate construction projects. Complete engineering projects by organizing and controlling project elements. Review drawings for correctness and assemble necessary details to prepare job bid proposals. Develop relationships with sub-contractors and interact with them to secure necessary information for job bids. Support the Project Manager in collecting information to complete the monthly Work in Progress (WIP) report. Assist with projecting and adherence to job budget and timing of tasks. Maintain project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, and surfacing issues to be resolved. Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends, recommending actions. Travel to job site locations when necessary to review progress and provide solutions to challenges. Assist in project timeline management and adhere to deadlines. Maintain a safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations. Maintain project database by updating construction systems. Be available to support the Project Manager to answer any customer inquiries. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Essential Skills Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment. Leadership abilities to communicate and influence others. Positive attitude focused on customers and clients. Superb personal and communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization, including stakeholders, developers, and contractors. Exceptional problem-solving, administrative, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills. Ability to work self-sufficiently or as part of a team to produce the best results. Proficiency in Microsoft Projects, Office, Excel, Word, etc. Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree preferred, or equivalent work experience. Ability to read, interpret, and understand construction drawings. Working knowledge of project budgeting and pricing of materials and labor. 2+ years of experience in the construction field, potentially leading projects up to $2.5M in scope. 1-4 years of experience in APM or Project Engineer roles. Experience in Mechanical Construction, MEP, Mission Critical, Data Center, and Commercial environments. Work Environment This position requires working onsite in Haskell, Texas. The role includes field travel and offers a per diem of $3,400 per month. The physical demands are typical of an office environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Haskell, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $47.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
