What You Will Do:
Accountable for project delivery: Ensure scope, schedule, cost, and risk are aligned and actively managed to meet business commitments. Representing the
Organization:
Represent the Projects organization in internal and external forums, aligning stakeholders, and driving decisions forward.
Lead through PMs and contractors:
Set direction, enforce accountability, and surface/resolve issues early.
Drive execution performance:
Identify gaps in productivity, planning, and integration; intervene to keep delivery on track. Manage risk, compliance, and escalation: Ensure risks are visible with clear mitigation plans and adherence to regulatory, safety, and environmental requirements.
Build capability and capacity:
Oversee planning/resourcing, challenge ways of working, and develop Project Managers to improve outcomes.
Who You Are:
Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or a related field. Significant experience (8+ years) in project delivery within the energy or infrastructure industry. Progressive leadership experience managing large, multidisciplinary teams and external contractors. Strong project management expertise with a track record of delivering results and resolving complex challenges. Demonstrated ability to lead change, drive innovation, and navigate project complexity. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time. Mental Requirements (Both Field & Office) include but are not limited to: Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
Working Conditions:
Office environment with potential high stress levels. Frequent (
