Job Description
This role is responsible for leading environmental assessment and cleanup efforts, overseeing complex technical work, and guiding developing professionals within the organization. The position combines project management, regulatory expertise, and mentoring responsibilities to support both client objectives and internal team growth. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in geology, engineering, environmental science, or a similar technical discipline. At least 7 years of environmental consulting experience related to property development or land management within Texas, including work under state-level corrective action or remediation frameworks. Professional certification in a relevant field (e.g., P.G., CIH, CSP, or similar). If not certified, a minimum of 7 years collaborating under the supervision of a licensed practitioner in the appropriate specialty. Strong capability in evaluating complex environmental data and developing cost projections, cleanup strategies, and long‑term remedial approaches. Experience designing and managing subsurface investigations, preparing conceptual site models, and conducting hydrogeologic evaluations. Proven project management abilities, including coordination of timelines, teams, and deliverables. Advanced analytical and data‑interpretation skills. Excellent verbal and written communication. Direct experience communicating with regulatory agencies and serving as a technical contact for clients. Commitment to providing hands‑on guidance and technical support to early‑career staff. Key Responsibilities Project Coordination and Oversight Lead environmental projects from initiation through completion, including scheduling tasks, allocating resources, and coordinating field and office activities. Monitor progress, budgets, and invoicing to ensure compliance with internal procedures and client expectations. Technical Review and Documentation Oversee the evaluation of field data, ensuring accuracy and consistency across project deliverables. Translate findings into clear, comprehensive reports that outline conclusions, regulatory considerations, and recommended next steps for senior leadership review. Proposal and Scope Development Support the preparation of cost proposals, work scopes, and technical approaches. Participate in business development initiatives and maintain strong client relationships. Mentoring and Staff Development Work closely with junior team members to strengthen their technical skills and project experience.
