Summary:
The Assistant Project Manager reports to and is responsible for assisting the Project Manager and/or Senior Project Manager with the daily management, supervision, coordination, and successful completion of the project(s) to meet time and cost objectives with respect to contracting, scheduling, estimating, bidding, and contract administration functions. Primary Responsibilities
  • Assist the Project Manager with the overall plan for construction of the project.
  • Manage a moderate volume of service calls in the fields of electrical and lighting.
  • Prepare the job start-up and close-out checklists.
  • Create, expedite, and monitor logs for tracking shop drawings, contract documents, submittals, and request for information, change orders, material delivery logs and other as determined necessary for a successful project.
  • Assist the Project Manager with development of the Cost Analysis Worksheet.
  • Possess working knowledge of all project plans and specifications.
  • Assist in expediting payment from the owner and expedite prompt processing of invoices and prompt payment through to subcontractor for amounts due to them.
  • Inform the Project Manager on problem areas of the project.
  • Proactively communicate and provide solutions to the customer(s).
  • Familiar with all policies and processes as it relates to this position.
  • Actively participate in internal team(s) that focuses on continuous improvement of the business.
Required Qualifications:
    Education:
    Minimum of an Associates degree (or equivalent experience).
      Experience:
      Minimum of 1-year in manufacturing, service environment, or similar field.
        Computer Skills:
        Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Office Suite, and Word.
