Position Overview:

GMEA Electrical Services is seeking an experienced and driven Project Manager to oversee a Costco warehouse project in Katy, TX. This role requires a strong on-site presence, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage all aspects of the project from early phases through completion. Costco projects typically start at a slower pace and ramp up quickly, so adaptability and strong organizational skills are key. Because of the scale, pace, and coordination required on a project like this, prior construction experience is essential. This role involves real-time decision-making, managing multiple trades, and understanding how work in the field actually gets executed. A candidate without hands-on construction knowledge will struggle to keep up with the demands, timelines, and problem-solving required to successfully deliver this type of project.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day operations of the project on-site for GMEA Electrical Services Be present on-site whenever GMEA crews are working Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams Lead and participate in meetings, confidently representing GMEA Electrical Services independently Maintain clear and professional communication through emails and reports Track project progress, schedules, and budgets Proactively identify and resolve issues to keep the project on track Ensure all work meets quality and safety standards

Requirements:

Prior construction management experience ( required ) Strong communication skills (verbal and written), especially in a client-facing environment Professional and confident in meetings with clients and stakeholders Ability to work extended hours (approximately 60 hours/week) as project demands increase Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment that scales quickly
