- Description
- The Logistics Project Manager is responsible for coordinating and overseeing assigned projects from initiation through completion.
- Key Responsibilities
- Project Management and Execution
- + Establish and execute project work plans to support successful project delivery.
- Client and Stakeholder Communication
- + Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams. + Provide project updates and address issues related to scope, schedule, cost, and field operations.
- Quality, Safety, and Compliance
- + Conduct and document PMRs and Toolbox meetings. + Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and project quality standards. + Support safety investigations and corrective action efforts when needed.
- Operational and Financial Oversight
- + Track project budgets, schedules, labor, and deliverables. + Draft contracts for subcontractors and third-party vendors. + Coordinate subcontractors and vendors to ensure performance and contract compliance.
- Problem Solving and Risk Management
- + Identify and resolve issues that may impact project timelines, budgets, or customer satisfaction. + Communicate risks or delays promptly and collaborate on solutions. + Maintain professionalism when addressing customer concerns or job-site challenges.
- Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- 3+ years of experience in logistics, construction, infrastructure, or project coordination.
- Demonstrated experience managing project budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and documentation.
- Experience coordinating field construction activities such as trenching, plumbing, electrical power, building systems, or equipment installation preferred.
- Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings and site plans is strongly preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Working knowledge of budgeting, scheduling, and project documentation.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, Logistics, or related field preferred.
- Equivalent experience may be considered.
- Strong understanding of logistics and construction project workflows.
- Familiarity with trenching, plumbing, electrical power systems, building systems, and installation processes.
- Knowledge of subcontractor coordination, scheduling, and field operations.
- Familiarity with insurance and client reporting processes.
- Knowledge of OSHA or equivalent safety standards.
- Experience with cost tracking and contract coordination.
