Project Manager/Production Manager Position Summary:
We are seeking a hands‑on Manufacturing Project Manager to lead equipment, facility, and process improvement projects at our HVAC coil manufacturing operation. This role is embedded on the production floor and works directly with operators, supervisors, maintenance, and vendors to improve safety, layout, throughput, and reliability. As projects are completed and stabilized, this position will transition into a Production Manager role , with ownership of daily manufacturing operations, people leadership, and ongoing continuous improvement. This is an ideal opportunity for an engineering‑minded, operations‑driven leader who enjoys solving real manufacturing problems and taking accountability for production results in a growing plant environment. Key Responsibilities Project Management & Facility Upgrades- Lead facility improvement projects such as o Equipment installations and upgrades o Layout changes and workflow optimization o Safety, housekeeping, and efficiency improvements
- Develop projects, plants including scope, timelines, resources, and budgets
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams
- Track projects progress and ensure on-time, on-budge completion
- Identify and mitigate risks related to safety, downtime, and cost
- Ensure project work aligns with production needs and minimizes disruptions Production Management
- Oversee daily production operations, including staffing, scheduling, and workflow
- Monitor production metrics such as efficiency, quality, scrap, and throughput
- Address production issues by identifying root causes and implanting corrective actions
- Ensuring adherence to safety expectations and good manufacturing practices
- Work closely with leadership to improve performance
- Support and develop production supervisors and team leaders
- Help standardize processes and introduce basic production controls as the operation matures.
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related Field) or equivalent experience
- 3-7 years of experience in manufacturing, production, or project management
- Experience leading projects in a manufacturing industrial environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processes
- Strong organization, problem-solving, and communication skills Preferred
- Experience in HVAC, coil manufacturing, metal fabrication, or similar industries
- Prior experience in supervising or managing production teams
- Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement exposure
- Familiarity with safety standards in a manufacturing environment.
Pay:
