Job Description

The Project Coordinator at Bayou City Steel, LLC is responsible for ensuring the efficient coordination and execution of rebar detailing projects. This role involves meticulous oversight of project details, effective communication with customers, and maintaining a proactive approach to meeting deadlines and quality standards. Responsibilities:
Communication and Liaison :
Serve as the primary point of contact between customers, team members, and contractors to ensure effective and clear communication.
Coordination and Planning :
Monitor and manage project deadlines by keeping the project schedule updated, ensuring tasks and milestones are completed on time, and informing the Project Manager of upcoming deadlines.
Submittal Processing and Project Oversight :
Compare original estimates against detailed weights on all projects to ensure budget adherence. Handle the preparation and processing of submittals to meet the customer requirements. Ensure all project-related documents are organized and current. This includes managing and saving CAD files, contract drawings, returns submittals, drawings, RFIs (Requests for Information), bar list reports, detailing logs, and any additional documentation in the Dropbox account. Ensure detailed drawings are promptly updated based on returned submittals and redline comments prior to submitting revisions. Process bar lists for customers/fabricators. Diligently follow up on DCN (Detailer Change Notices).
Data Management and Project Management Platform:
Maintain up-to-date information in Monday.com, including project statuses, deadlines, submittal dates, weights, and drawing numbers, ensuring transparency and accessibility for management. Report KPIs (Monthly Tonnage, Monthly Submittal Count, New Jobs) in Operations Meetings.
Document Management :
Ensure all project-related documents are organized and current. This includes managing and saving CAD files, contract drawings, returns submittals, drawings, RFIs (Requests for Information), bar list reports, current detailing logs, and any additional documentation in the Dropbox account.
Customer Relationships :
Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns, offering updates, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Rebar Detailing Training, Personal and Professional Development :
Participate in all training and development programs and meetings.
Qualifications:
Experience :
Experience as a Project Coordinator, Administrative Professional, or in a similar role.
Administrative Skills :
Strong administrative skills, including managing schedules, documents, and customer communications.
Organizational Skills :
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Communication Abilities :
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Teamwork and Independence :
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Technical Proficiency :
Proficiency in Microsoft, Google, and Dropbox products.
Work Environment:
Foster a positive work atmosphere through effective communication and behavior.
Pay:
From $22.00 per hour
