Assistant Project Manager - Residential Construction /

Part Time or Full-Time About Us Current Custom Homes is a growing custom home builder and general contractor serving the Texas Hill Country. We specialize in high-quality custom homes, renovations, additions, and select commercial projects. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a versatile, dependable Assistant Project Manager who is willing to do whatever is needed to keep projects moving forward. Position Overview Every day is different. This is not an immediate fill position, we are getting our feelers out for the right candidate/fit. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, professional, and willing to jump in wherever needed. One day you may be documenting jobsite progress, coordinating with subcontractors, and updating project records. The next day you may be picking up materials, helping solve field issues, assisting with light handyman tasks, or communicating with clients and vendors. If you're the type of person who sees a problem and solves it without being asked twice, you'll fit in well here. Responsibilities Assist Project Managers and ownership with day-to-day project operations Visit jobsites regularly and document progress with photos, videos, and notes Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and vendors Pick up materials, tools, samples, permits, and project-related items as needed Track project progress and communicate updates to management Maintain organized job files, documentation, and records Assist with scheduling and coordination of trades Help ensure jobsites remain organized and presentable Attend client meetings and assist with light client communication Perform occasional light handyman or punch-list tasks when needed Identify potential issues before they become larger problems Support the team in whatever capacity is required to keep projects moving efficiently Qualifications Strong organizational and communication skills Self-starter with a positive attitude Comfortable working both in an office environment and on active construction sites Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Basic understanding of residential construction preferred Experience in construction, project management, field coordination, or a related trade is a plus Proficient with smartphones, email, and basic computer software Professional appearance and demeanor Ideal Candidate Highly dependable and punctual Resourceful and solutions-oriented Comfortable interacting with clients, vendors, and subcontractors Willing to handle both administrative and field responsibilities Interested in growing into a Project Manager role over time Takes ownership and pride in their work

$15.00 - $20.00 per hour
