Job Description
SUMMARY JOB DESCRIPTION
This is a professional position responsible for assisting with the coordination of projects, including project analyses, documentation and planning, and analyzing user requirements, procedures, and needs to ensure compliant, on-time and on-budget project success. Responsible for serving as electronic information resources (EIR) accessibility coordinator. Works under general supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Reports to the Director, ITS Enterprise Applications.QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in a related field is required. Related experience may be substituted for required education on a basis set forth by the Department of Human Resources. One year of related experience is required. Experience in organizational communications is required. Experience in IT procedures, business processes, and integration of cross-functional administrative areas is preferred. Project management training is preferred.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Serves as the EIR accessibility coordinator. Builds and sustains effective communication with project team members and stakeholders. Assists with developing training materials for use by project teams and university stakeholders applicable to projects and accessibility. Assists with managing, developing, overseeing, and evaluating assigned projects. Assists with developing basic project budgets, schedules, work plans, resources requirements, risk assessments, cost estimates and projections. Assists with compiling and distributing project information, project status reports, and project budget expenditures. Guides and directs project work groups to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks and deliverables. Collaborates with diverse functional, technical, and third-party stakeholders regarding project requirements. Assists with administrative duties associated with the execution of the project plan, including vendor presentations and training, information distribution, change control, performance reporting, risk response control, and plan closure. Facilitates the initiation, authorization, and commitment of projects, and helps demonstrate business need and project feasibility. Assists with monitoring and managing project costs to ensure project is completed within budget and ensures project deliverables are acceptable and fulfill the terms of the project contract or specifications.NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Knowledge of, or the ability to learn, university policies and procedures. Knowledge of project management methodologies as they relate to a higher education environment. Organizational skills in managing projects simultaneously while maintaining a satisfactory work product. Skill in negotiation and facilitation. Skill in public speaking and delivering presentations to individuals and groups. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Ability to perform work requiring accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to plan, organize, and implement complex tasks. Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form. Ability to establish and maintain a good rapport with university faculty and staff, students, and the general public . Ability to work effectively within a complex organization structure.
