POSITION SUMMARY
Supervises the commercial business operations ensuring quality control and the training of assigned team members; administrative processing include interviewing, hiring, scheduling and pay actions, also provides daily activity reports for invoicing purposes. Supports the organizations in its mission to help change lives through the power of work.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for ensuring contract requirements are met. In absence of the Project Manager, responsible for all supervisory functions. Schedules daily crew activities; makes temporary crew compositions and assignments, worksite, or other changes to adapt to missing or absent Team Members and/or changing priorities. Ensures the crew leaders complete a daily cutting report as requirement by the Project Manager. Reviews weekly and monthly activity schedule with the assigned crew leaders to meet contractual obligations. Ensures crew leaders are maintaining logs of daily hours worked for each team member during pay periods and that time sheets/timecards are turned in upon completion of the pay period. Oversees the adherence of time keeping requirements. Monitors, reviews and enforces quality of work completed to ensure customer satisfaction. Performs daily on-site quality checks. Meets with customers to resolve problems as directed by, or on behalf of Project Manager. Ensures all team members meet operational equipment prerequisites, receive necessary safety training, preventive maintenance training and equipment operation training for assigned equipment before operating any equipment. Initiates accident/incident reports to ensure comprehensive and timely completion; also follows up to ensure proper action has been taken. Responsible for inventory control, security and maintenance of equipment. Coordinates with maintenance unit to ensure equipment is maintained/repaired and available to perform mission. Reinforces performance standards and ensures appropriate corrective action is taken when standards of performance or behavior are not met. Provides accurate cost estimate for additional job requirements, not in the basic contract specifications. Provides Administrative Assistant with timely and accurately completed job orders as needed. Submits timely performance appraisals on direct staff and reviews all appraisals completed prior to submission to Project Manager. Recommends team members for promotions, transfers, and disciplinary measures. Enhances safety program by following all federal, state and agency safety requirements; wears safety equipment; follows the use of chemicals and equipment according to the manufacturer's directions; attends required training. Communicates daily and as necessary with Project Manager regarding issues and /or concerns related to contract compliance and personnel.
REQUIREMENTS
High School diploma or equivalency (GED) required. Associate's/bachelor's degree in a related field and/or three years' experience in related activities and three years supervisory experience preferred. The ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Strong planning, organizing and directing abilities. Capable of leading, training, guiding and inspiring employees to achieve objectives. Available to work a flexible work schedule including evenings and weekends as necessary for contract compliance. Demonstrate necessary computer skills, office machines, and basic math calculations. Maintain good customer relations and resolve conflicts that may arise, work with people with disabilities. Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position. For positions that require driving, must maintain a valid driver's license and automobile insurance coverage, and be able to travel as needed if you drive your vehicle during company business.
