San Antonio, TX Job Details Full-time 1 day ago Qualifications Microsoft Excel Driver's License Bachelor's degree Construction administrative experience Microsoft Project ProCore Stakeholder management Full Job Description Project Architect / Owner's Representative - Project Management Firm Job Description A San Antonio-based project management firm is seeking an experienced Project Architect / Owner's Representative to manage projects during design and construction administration phases. This role serves as a key representative of the project owner during design and construction, ensuring quality control, schedule compliance, and successful project closeout through the warranty period. The position is pre-construction and construction phase services as an owner's representative. The firm does not provide design services of any sort and doesn't construct buildings. This position does not require architectural licensure. Duties and Responsibilities Act as owner's representative during design and construction through warranty period. Participate in managing and supporting facility assessments, programming, and pre-construction planning. Support working with building commissioning and building envelope commissioning activities. Oversee and coordinate RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, change orders, and pay applications. Conduct and/or manage site observations and quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) reviews. Monitor project schedules, milestones, and contractor performance. Ensure successful project closeout, including O&M manuals and documentation turnover. Coordinate communication between owners, contractors, and design/construction teams. Identify and resolve field issues to maintain project quality, budget, and schedule. Skills Project management during pre-construction and construction phase. Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities. Excellent organizational and deadline management skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical coordination. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with scheduling/project tools such as Microsoft Project and/or Procore. Strong problem-solving ability in all project phases. Ability to support Owner in making sound, timely field-based decisions. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in architecture or construction management or closely related field is required. Experience in owner representation, program management, and construction administration. Knowledge of construction phase processes (technical reviews, RFIs, submittals, change orders, pay applications, etc.). Experience in coordinating with contractors, consultants, and owners during active project phases through post-construction / warranty period activities. Ability to understand construction documents and manage technical project information. Licensure Professional architectural licensure is not required for this role. LEED Accreditation or sustainability is a plus but not required. Candidates should, however, have formal architectural education or equivalent construction/project management background with field experience. Working Conditions Some travel is required, both locally and out of state. Must be able to climb ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs. Position includes office-based work and time on active construction sites. Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
