Our rapidly growing company seeks an eager and hard-working professional to join our team as a Building Automation Systems (BAS)/Controls Project Manager . This exciting career opportunity will provide operational and administrative support across the Construction Operations Department. The Project Manager operates both independently and in concert with all Operations team members. Typical general responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, project scheduling, ordering/managing all material, workforce scheduling, managing all project documentation/deliverables, engineering/programming support, commissioning/testing support, internal/external stakeholder communication, and general office work. Projects include ground-up construction, installation only, and controls retrofits. The Project Manager reports directly to the Construction Manager and will be an active participant in the development and implementation of Operations Excellence. We are looking for our Project Manager to possess key characteristics.

High school diploma or GED equivalent with at least six years of cumulative work experience and knowledge in commercial HVAC and building automation controls systems or related field; bachelor's degree in a technical field preferred. Three or more years of experience in project management, estimating, or engineering of HVAC and building automation controls systems preferred. Thorough understanding and ability to read controls documents, including drawing pages, specifications, schematics, change orders, and submittals. Strong verbal and written communication, negotiation, and conflict management skills. Demonstrated knowledge of control theory, automatic temperature controls, building automation systems and other building MEP systems. Experience interacting in the construction industry with various trades and members of a typical construction project channel. Knowledge of IP-based networks and various building automation communication protocols and systems. Such protocols and systems include Niagara Tridium, BACnet, Lon Works, Modbus etc.Excellent computer skills:
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, and general software navigation required. MS Teams and Smartsheet knowledge. PMP Certification preferred. Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening, reference check, and background check.Required Competencies:

Detail oriented and highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and assignments. Must be able to manage and prioritize a large workload. Ability to clearly explain technical information to all audiences. Clean, neat, and professional appearance in line with the position. This is a customer-facing position, so proper representation of the company is extremely important. Experience managing budgets for building automation controls projects. Ability to handle sensitive and/or confidential information. High level of ownership, enthusiasm, and a collaborative, professional temperament.Working Environment:
Work is performed in a primarily office environment including remote locations or on-site at project locations. Project locations include work sites in commercial, industrial, institutional buildings, or other construction areas including outdoors environments. Ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading. Remain in a sitting position at a desk for extended periods of time. Frequent and repeated hand and arm movement to manipulate objects.
