Full-time About Us Taylor Marine Construction, Inc. is a premier General Contractor specializing in marine terminal construction, repair, and heavy civil projects along the Texas Gulf Coast. We deliver best-in-class project design, management, and execution for marine piers, bulkheads, fender systems, pile driving, dredging, steel fabrication, and barge/ship repair. Position Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to support our growing marine construction operations. This role is ideal for a construction professional who wants to build a long-term career in marine and heavy civil construction while working alongside experienced leadership on challenging waterfront projects. Key Responsibilities Assist Project Managers in planning, coordinating, and executing marine construction projects (piers, bulkheads, fender systems, pile driving, dredging, heavy civil, etc.) Support project scheduling, budgeting, cost tracking, and change order management Help prepare bids, estimates, submittals, and project documentation Coordinate with field superintendents, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients Monitor project progress, safety compliance, and quality control Assist with daily reports, RFIs, invoices, and project closeout Participate in project meetings and maintain strong client relationships Requirements Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering (or related fields), Construction Management, Civil Engineering, OR 5-7 years of equivalent experience in construction project management Experience in marine construction, heavy civil, or structural steel is strongly preferred Proficiency with Primavera P6 and/or HeavyBid is a plus Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and contracts Willingness to work in a dynamic field/office environment along the Texas Gulf Coast Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required Ability to pass DISA hair follicle and background testing What We Offer Competitive salary based on experience Health insurance Opportunities for career growth in a rapidly expanding company Hands-on experience with diverse marine projects Company with a strong safety culture and long-term team members How to Apply Please submit your resume and a brief cover letter outlining your relevant experience.
