Job Description

Job Description The Project Planner owns the master project schedule for a complex, mission-critical power infrastructure project. This role ensures engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities are fully aligned to deliver power on time for high-demand, AI-driven environments. This is a hands-on planning and coordination role — not just schedule updates, but active schedule ownership and risk management. Key Responsibilities Schedule Development and Ownership
  • Build and maintain a fully logic driven master schedule from design through commissioning
  • Establish schedule baselines and manage all approved revisions
  • Maintain activity relationships, constraints, and calendars
  • Integrate engineering, procurement, construction, logistics, and commissioning schedules Progress Tracking and Updates
  • Track weekly and monthly percent complete by discipline and field trade
  • Track engineering activities and deliverables against approved milestones
  • Track construction progress at the trade and activity level
  • Track logistics, gear, and major equipment activities
  • Track procurement, fabrication, delivery, and installation milestones
  • Track commissioning and CX activities within the master schedule Resource and Manpower Planning
  • Develop and maintain resource loaded schedules for all craft trades
  • Include construction, specialty trades, and commissioning resources
  • Produce manpower forecasts aligned with the approved schedule
  • Analyze labor demand by phase and discipline Schedule Analysis and Risk Management
  • Perform critical path and float analysis on a recurring basis
  • Analyze the schedule using up to five shortest paths
  • Identify near critical activities and float consumption
  • Develop specific recovery and acceleration plans for at risk activities
  • Model schedule impacts and downstream effects of delays Look Ahead Planning
  • Develop three week and six week look ahead schedules
  • Support near term field execution and coordination
  • Align look ahead plans with the master schedule logic Reporting and Communication
  • Provide weekly and monthly schedule inputs for project reporting
  • Prepare critical path analysis for each reporting period
  • Develop narrative schedule summaries for leadership
  • Highlight overall schedule status and significant events
  • Identify slipped activities with float usage and impacts
  • Present recovery options and acceleration strategies
  • Run weekly schedule update meetings
  • Collect updates from field teams and vendors

  • 5+ years project planning / scheduling experience
  • Experience in construction, power, utilities, EPC, or mission-critical projects
  • Proficiency with Primavera P6 (preferred) or Microsoft Project
  • Ability to build schedules from scratch
  • Understanding of engineering → procurement → construction → commissioning workflows Nice-to-Have
  • Power or electrical infrastructure experience
  • Mission-critical or data center projects
  • Commissioning / turnover scheduling
  • Project controls or earned value exposure
