Job Description

Company Overview Panel Specialists Inc. is a leading manufacturer of decorative wood laminated products utilizing high-pressure decorative laminates. Based in Temple, Tx, the company has been delivering quality craftsmanship since 1990 and employs approximately 150 dedicated professionals in the Temple,Tx area. Overview We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Project Manager to lead and coordinate complex projects across our manufacturing and operational teams. This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive program development, optimize processes, and ensure project success through effective management of resources, timelines, and stakeholder engagement. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment, leveraging their expertise in project management methodologies to deliver high-quality results on time and within scope. Responsibilities Facilitating all aspects of the Process after estimating through project completion. All work shall be done in a timely, efficient manner to meet all project requirements by doing the following:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following:
  • Works & communicates with all project stakeholders to ensure success of project.
  • Review and analyze the elements of the project through plan review.
  • Upon awarding of job communicate with subcontractors and review shop drawings.
  • Communicates and coordinates with the GC on scheduling, delivery, and installation of product.
  • Monitor the installation process, work with GCs and jobsite superintendents to solve issues as they arise.
  • Collect, compile, and distribute job closeout information as needed.
  • Represent the company in project meetings, as necessary.
  • Participates in the assessment of the project & identification of problem areas that require submittals or clarification requirements.
  • Communicate discrepancies & variations that may affect pricing, manufacturing, yield, installation, or product performance.
  • Works with Contract Administrator to facilitate sub-contractor qualifications and other requirements.
  • Participates in verification of addenda issued to the project, download, and post relevant addenda to the construction documents.
  • Records feedback from Manufacturing, Sales & Marketing and others during and after the completion.
  • Does initial review of first draft of shop drawings, checks the scope of work and proper adherence to project specifications.
  • Reviews returned submittal drawings for any requested changes, and revises scope of work and pricing, as necessary.
  • Reviews and replies to all change order requests and approvals and keeps all team members apprised of any changes. Processes further breakdown of phased installation projects as required.
  • Works closely with Accounting and Project Administration to develop required project information (schedule of values) to assure project success.
  • Networks & build relationships with architects, contractors & customers and assists with the development of sales leads and project opportunities.
  • Other duties as assigned.
