The Design Coordinator will play a pivotal role in our client success team, assisting in the development + execution of custom millwork, cabinetry + metal projects. This position requires a blend of creativity, drafting, technical knowledge, client service + project management skills. The ideal candidate will have drafting experience, a strong technical aptitude using AutoCAD, or a similar system, be detail-oriented, have a strong sense of design + be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with the operations + client success team to produce detailed technical drawings, specifications + plans. Ensure designs are functional, aesthetically pleasing + meet client requirements. Assist in the coordination + management of design projects from concept to completion. Review + process orders to guarantee accuracy + compliance with specifications. Aid in the preparation + management of sample + service ticket requests. Support dealers + design engineers by providing guidance on optimal ordering practices. Ensure all design documentation is accurate, complete + up to date. Work closely with the operations team to ensure design integrity + quality standards are maintained. Create, edit + reveiw shop drawings, samples + prototypes. Provide excellent customer service, addressing any questions or concerns promptly + professionally.
REQUIREMENTS A
degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in design coordination + drafting, preferably in millwork or cabinetry. Excellent communication, organizational + project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proficiency in systems such as AutoCAD, Cabinet Vision, or similar platforms. Strong communication + interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently + as part of a team. Detail-oriented with a strong sense of design aesthetics + functionality
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS + ATTITUDES
Technical skills: Technical skills are essential for this role to be able to create detailed drawings + plans. The Design Coordinator must have knowledge of the systems + software that they will use to complete a project.
Communication skills:
Communication skills are fundamental for this role to effectively communicate with their team, collaborate with other departments + ensure smooth operations. Ability to articulate questions, provide updates + discuss project details with team members. They need strong written + verbal communication skills for creating reports, documentation + facilitate meetings.
