Director of Marketing Operations & E-Commerce Projects Location:
Orem, Utah (Full-Time, In-Office)
Compensation:
$140,000-$180,000 base salary DOE + performance bonus potential up to $50,000 annually About the Role We are seeking a highly organized, strategic, and hands-on leader to serve as the operational hub between our Marketing, Creative, and Development teams. This role is responsible for driving the successful execution of e-commerce initiatives, marketing campaigns, website projects, CRM improvements, and broader digital operations. You will oversee the coordination of creative production and technical implementation—ensuring projects move efficiently from concept through deployment while maintaining quality, accountability, and alignment with company goals. This position is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of marketing strategy, technical project management, process optimization, and team leadership. The right candidate is equally comfortable collaborating with developers, directing vendors and contractors, building scalable workflows, and contributing strategically at a leadership level while remaining deeply involved in day-to-day execution. As the organization grows, this role will also help build and mentor junior project management resources across both marketing and technical functions. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary operational bridge between Marketing/Creative teams and Development teams across all digital and e-commerce initiatives. Lead end-to-end project management for website enhancements, e-commerce functionality, marketing campaigns, CRM initiatives, and MarTech implementations. Coordinate and manage external creative contractors including videographers, photographers, graphic designers, copywriters, and other vendors to ensure high-quality deliverables and smooth execution. Translate marketing and business objectives into actionable project plans, technical requirements, timelines, and deliverables for development teams. Build and maintain scalable project management systems, workflows, reporting structures, and communication processes across departments. Proactively identify risks, remove blockers, manage priorities, and ensure projects remain on schedule and aligned with business objectives. Drive operational improvements across marketing systems, website processes, CRM workflows, and supporting technologies. Monitor campaign and project performance using analytics and reporting tools to provide actionable insights and support strategic decision-making. Partner with leadership on e-commerce growth strategy, marketing operations planning, and long-term process scalability. Foster accountability, collaboration, and execution excellence across internal teams and external partners. Initially own projects directly in a hands-on capacity while helping scale the department through future hiring and mentorship of junior project managers. Qualifications 7-10+ years of experience in Marketing Operations, E-Commerce Operations, Technical Project Management, Digital Marketing Operations, or related leadership roles. Proven experience managing technical projects directly with developers, engineers, or technical teams. Strong background coordinating creative production workflows and external contractors/vendors. Deep understanding of e-commerce operations, website management, CRM systems, marketing technology platforms, and digital workflows. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Strong leadership presence with excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to operate both strategically and tactically—comfortable leading discussions while remaining deeply involved in execution. Experience building processes, improving operational efficiency, and scaling workflows. Proficiency with project management platforms, analytics tools, and cross-functional collaboration systems. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Technology, or related field preferred. PMP, Agile, Scrum, or related certifications are a plus. Must be located in or willing to relocate to the Orem/Provo, Utah area for full-time in-office work. What Success Looks Like Within the first 90 days, you will have established clear project workflows, improved communication and handoff processes between teams, identified operational bottlenecks, and created stronger alignment across marketing and development functions. Long term, success in this role means projects consistently launch on time, creative and technical teams operate seamlessly together, operational friction is minimized, analytics drive smarter decisions, and the marketing operations function scales efficiently alongside company growth.

$140,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
