Mining, Petrochemical, Industrial Construction & Maintenance We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee industrial construction, plant maintenance, shutdown, turnaround, and capital improvement projects throughout the Western United States. This position will be responsible for managing projects from estimating and planning through execution and closeout while supporting field operations, clients, subcontractors, procurement teams, and company leadership. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy industrial construction and maintenance environments including mining, processing facilities, material handling systems, petrochemical operations, and industrial plants. Responsibilities:
Manage industrial construction and maintenance projects from award through completion Develop project schedules, budgets, manpower plans, and execution strategies Coordinate field activities with Superintendents, Foremen, and craft personnel Lead shutdown and turnaround planning efforts Manage client relationships and serve as the primary point of contact throughout project execution Oversee subcontractors, procurement activities, equipment, and material logistics Track project costs, productivity, forecasting, and change orders Review contracts, drawings, specifications, and project scopes Lead project meetings and provide routine progress updates Support emergency outage work, facility upgrades, and capital projects Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget Maintain compliance with all company, customer, MSHA, and OSHA requirements Qualifications:
5+ years of Project Management experience in heavy industrial construction Experience managing mining, processing plant, petrochemical, power generation, or industrial maintenance projects Strong understanding of structural steel, equipment setting, mechanical systems, process piping, fabrication, welding, excavation, and concrete construction Experience supporting plant shutdowns, turnarounds, outages, and maintenance projects Strong estimating, budgeting, scheduling, and cost control experience Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software Valid driver's license and ability to travel Preferred Qualifications:
MSHA Part 48 Certification Mining Industry Experience Industrial Plant Maintenance Experience Turnaround and Shutdown Planning Experience Heavy Mechanical Construction Material Handling Systems Structural Steel Erection Process Piping & Welding Operations Self-Perform Industrial Construction Experience The ideal candidate will understand the fast-paced nature of industrial construction and maintenance work and have the ability to successfully manage multiple projects, shutdowns, and field operations while maintaining strong client relationships and a commitment to safety. Pay:
